Glenullin Childcare Initiative was incorporated  in 2004 and has since been running a full day care facility for children aged 0-4 years from Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm. They previously established an After Schools club which offers 16 places term time and 16 holiday places. In May 2002 they relocated to a newly renovated building which now provides a fully comprehensive childcare service.

The childcare initiative arose out of the limited amount of childcare provision in the area, which resulted in many women having to give up their careers to look after their children. The purpose of providing the childcare was to give women the choice of returning to work, which was previously denied.

By providing childcare we enable mothers to live a stress free life safe in the knowledge their children are being cared for in a registered facility providing quality childcare and alleviating poverty.
