Programme Format

NetWORKS comprises the following mix of training sessions.

Training Needs Analysis

In advance of the first event successfully selected participants are visited on site by a consultant to conduct a training needs analysis of the group. This forms the basis for programme content to be covered.

Opening Residential

Each programme commences with an overnight residential located within the region. This will normally occur on a Friday/Saturday, and will run from 9.30am - 6.00pm Friday and from 9.30am - 1.00pm on Saturday.

On-Site Mentoring Sessions

Ten on-site mentoring sessions will take place with each of the participants. Relevant mentors with high levels of expertise, will be assigned to participants and visit them at a time of the day convenient to the group. These sessions will run over a nine month period, allowing opportunities for both participants and mentors to undertake necessary preparatory work and where relevant conduct follow-up research in advance of future meetings.

Cross Border Workshops

These workshops encompass a full day commencing at 9.30am and running to 5.00pm . Guest speakers are available to cover a range of generic issues identified by participant groups. The speakers are expected to bear relevance to parties from both sides of the border. Past workshops have covered topics such as Finance & Fundraising, Marketing & Communications, Strategic Planning, and Human Resources.

Reconciliation and Understanding Residential

A two day course on reconciliation and understanding at a stage in the programme where groups will be further faciltated in developing the important link between undretsanding and intercultural commerce.

Field Study Visit

Two social businesses operating among different traditions will be chosen to visit in the one day by all participant delegates where they will be educated on the problems faced by businesses operating within single identity markets. The purpose of this is to re-enforce awareness of the importance for intercultural trade and the need to make all aspects of your business accessible on a transcultural basis.

Closing Residential

An opportunity for groups to measure the impact the programme has had on their organisations to date, and with the assistance of newly developed business action plans, set concrete goals for the future sustainability of their businesses, along a well planned and structured path.
